You don't have to wear 6 inch heels and skinny jeans to be stylish. Casual clothes can be just as cute. I attended a soccer game last weekend (GO SEAN!) and was able to dim down my outfit a bit. I paired these destroyed jeans with a horizontal black, white stripped shirt. I added my black Chuck Taylor's which are super stylish, but also really low key. For a little extra warmth I threw on this army green, light weight jacket. Casual, but still cute.

Go casual- you can rock it :)

I know I've mentioned black and white being a trend for way too long now, but it's true and so easy! Everyone has black and white pieces that they can pull out so for this outfit, I did just that. This black button up is from JCPenny's that I just recently picked up on sale for $2.00 (so go check your local Penny's!). This circle skirt was gifted to me (thanks Leesh!) but is from Pac Sun. Circle skirts are flattering on basically any body shape so everyone should own one....or a few. To keep it simple, I added my black booties.

Don't pack winter pieces away; find ways to transition it into spring!

Like I said in my last post, we had a few warmer days that I was able to bring some of my spring wardrobe out for...like these Ali & Kris pants. To say I love these pants is an understatement. The style, the fit, the colors, the pattern, the material...everything. I paired them with a casual white v-neck that I twisted and tucked in on the side. Adding a basic, plain t-shirt is the way to go with pants this bold so that it isn't overwhelming. I added my brown wedges and green Kenneth Cole bag to finish off the look.

Go get these pants....seriously.

Mother nature continues to be bi-polar in my neck of the woods. We have been lucky enough to have some warmer weather for the past few days which means I've been able to play with transitioning some pieces into spring type weather (for the few days that we have it). I picked up this ox blood, (fake) leather, peplum tank from Rue 21 the other day for 5 bucks! Side note-I loved it so much that I actually got it in two different colors so look for that in another post coming soon. Anyways. I thought this color would be a good one to transition because it's a darker, earth tone but because it's a tank it allows it to be a little 'springy.' I paired it with dark denim and tan booties. To add an extra layer but keep it light, I threw on this over sized cardigan. I absolutely love the colors of this outfit. It's the perfect way to say goodbye to winter and hello to spring!

PS: Yes, I cut my hair. I was ready for a change and I love it! I'm going to do a post all about it so stay tuned for that!

With spring coming, we all have a new reason to shop!

Sorry I've been MIA for a little while. My photographer (aka my boyfriend) went out of town for a while and I was left without anyone to take pictures. Rough life, right? Well, he's back and I sent him right back to work. I've been on the hunt for a nice, white blazer. It's such a staple in a women's wardrobe and I didn't have a plain one...until I found this. It's from the Bethany Mota collection at Aeropostale and was on sale for 15 bucks! Unfortunately I think it's from her last collection (hence why it was on sale) and I can't find it online anymore. I kept it super classic and simple by throwing on a gray, loose fitting tank and some skinny jeans. I added this black statement necklace and these maroon pumps for some fun.

Go get a white blazer- trust me!

Spring is in the air (for a few days at least). I love bringing bright, fun colors to every season, even if it's not really warm out yet. As I've mentioned, white pants are year round; and I don't care what you say about it. So, I wore them. I added a mint collared blouse (similar here) under a navy sweater (similar here) so it would just peek out enough to add some spring color. The purse I'm carrying is actually an IPAD carrier. I saw it on super clearance at Target and immediately thought about how cute it would be as clutch (similar here) so I decided to go for it. I love the bright, fun, spring vibe it can add to any outfit.
PS: Since it was pretty nice out today, I had a little help posing for pictures :)

Start pulling out all your spring clothes (let's hope at least)!

Denim on denim has potential to be a disaster. Like Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears in this photo that we all love to hate. BUT when paired right, it can be super trendy and really cute. The key is pairing different shades of denim so the fact that it's all denim is totally over looked. I paired this very light denim button up (similar herehere) with very dark jeans. It's enough difference in shades that you don't even notice all of the denim. I then added a white, textured floral blazer to brighten it up even more. To add a little extra color to the outfit I paired these emerald green heels (similar here) and a bright pink lip (NYX in hot pink).

Don't be scared to try new things (even if others fail).

First things first- I love this coat. I love the pattern, the colors, the shape, and the price. I got this coat at Rue 21 for TWELVE DOLLARS. They were having a sale a few weeks ago in which all jackets/coats were 12 bucks. I couldn't resist. I (obviously) picked this one up. It's hard to tell in the pictures but it is this beautiful turquoise blue, gray, and black plaid. I wanted the jacket to be the 'wow' factor of the outfit so all I added was jeans and black booties. For my shirt I wore a turquoise blouse that matched, but because I love the jacket so much....I guess I didn't take it off for any pictures. Oh well!

Never pass up a plaid pea coat!

I'm a huge fan of combat boots. I love the casual, grunge kind of look they can add to your outfit. I have them in basically every 'neural' color you can think of and personally think everyone should own a pair! Today I picked out my tan ones (old from Charolette Russe, similar here) to go with these army green legging kind of pants (not entirely sure how to explain them besides they feel like Heaven and were 12 bucks from WalMart). Pairing army green and combat boots together give it the extra 'grunge' edge but don't make it too over the top. I threw on this oversized cream sweater and this printed scarf (old- similar here) to add a little girly flair.

Add your own combat boots for a casual look!
