It's been a while, but what better way to make a comeback then on my birthday?! That's right ladies (and maybe a few gents), I am now 25 years old. Honestly, birthdays just aren't that cool as you get older, but it was a solid excuse to put on a cute outfit and prance around with balloons- so I'm not mad.

This skirt...is gorgeous! It has a super retro feel that I'm absolutely loving. I picked it up from Stein Mart a while back on clearance for twelve bucks and have been waiting for an occasion to break it out. I wanted to keep my top simple so I threw on this black leotard (awkward) to make sure it was form fitting and super plain. I added a little pop of color with these adorable mint heels that I scooped up for ten dollars from Charolette Russe recently. And of course, the balloons were my greatest accessory.

PS: I apologize for the unusually high number of photos. I had a really hard time picking my favorites. Ana is insanely talented! Go check out more of her work HERE!

Never miss an opportunity to play dress up :)

Like rompers (refer to my last post), kimonos are another favorite of mine. Depending on color, length, pattern...they can really change up a look. I recently stumbled across this kimono in Charlotte Russe on clearance for SEVEN DOLLARS. Obviously, I had to pick it up. As you can tell, it's basically floor length and absolutely beautiful. I paired it with this plain white t-shirt and ripped black shorts. To keep up the boho vibes I've been feeling lately, I added this black wide brimmed hat. I know hats aren't for everyone, but I just scored this one from Target (also on clearance) for six bucks. I threw on my black lace up wedges to finish it all off.

Shout out to Ana, continuing to kill the photography game one post at a time :)

Rompers are my thing. They are so easy to throw on in a hurry but still look put together. I picked this little denim romper up at Forever 21 for 12 bucks a few months back and have already worn it about that many times (oops). For this look, I wanted to keep it casual so I paired it with an oversized cream cardigan that I let fall off my shoulder. I added these killer strappy sandals from Madden Girl (I got them at DSW) and a belt in the same color to tie it all together.

I know I sound like a broken record...but Ana is unstoppable with these photos. She's the real MVP!

The only downfall to a romper comes when you have to pee....

When I went to take blog photos with Ana (yes, she's still killing the photography game)...we came across this stage with a giant American flag painted on it and obviously had to use it. I realized it was only right that this outfit wait to be posted until today. With that being said, Happy Memorial Day. Today is a day to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country. A huge thank you to all of the men and women who have served, are currently serving, and will serve to protect each and every one of us. Freedom isn't free and I'm extremely grateful for those who make the choice to stand up and fight for it.

Now, onto the outfit. I have been loving the hat trend recently. I think it's such a fun, carefree touch....and can be extremely helpful on bad hair days ;) I picked this tan one up at Target a while back. It's felt material and has a pretty large brim. I wanted to tie in the black trim from the hat so I went with black jeans for this look. This pair is from Charlotte Russe (got these recently so they should still be there if you're interested!) and have a little bit of distressing. I added this gauzy white top with a little cut out design, also from CR. This top is so breezy and easy to pair with just about anything. To finish the look, I added my brown lace up wedges.

I'm all about taking risks when it comes to fashion...and that's where these shoes come in. Cheetah loafers with bright orange soles- how fun, right?! I picked these shoes up from Gabe's last week for six bucks (which made taking a risk much easier). Obviously, they're kind of out there, so I wanted to dull down the rest of the outfit. I threw on this black v neck tee and boyfriend jeans from Target. I love the way boyfriend jeans look with loafer type shoes...and this outfit was no exception.

Don't be afraid to take a risk!
PS: As usual, Ana killed it with the photos again. Best photographer I know :)

Don't hate me...but here comes another boho look (I just can't help it). I recently picked up this shirt for 10 bucks from Gabe's and had to style it right away. I absolutely love the flowy open back and cut out shoulders. It's such a relaxed, easy top that I wanted to keep the rest of the look pretty low key but still dainty and feminine. I threw on some ripped jean shorts and these rust/tan colored booties I got from Charlotte Russe years ago. I adore how simple, but pretty this look turned out.

And again, I have to credit my girl Ana for these photos. She's incredible (and so fun to work with)!

Find a unique piece you love and plan your whole outfit around it :)
